Ghent Farmers Market 2022 Season!

Good evening and Happy New Year! This is Lori Zontini the Executive Director of the Ghent Farmers Market! We are so excited to be back for another YEAR!! We are coming back better than ever.

Curating a Farmers Market is NO SMALL feat. I research till I find a great group of local farmers, food producers and artist. I like to have an eclectic group, ones you won't find right around the corner! I want to make sure every food producer is working with The Virginia Department of Ag. Making sure their products are safe for consumption. I also like to discover folks that have something NEW but just need that extra help and extra kick in the behind to get all their certifications to come to market! This isn't about filling a space. It's about community, fresh foods, and creatives in our area, giving small businesses a platform to grow and so much more!!

To see vendors that start out at one of your markets and then open a brick and mortar is like "WOW" the community LIKED them so much, they needed more space! That's what it's all about, truly! Just last year, Honest Pastures opened a new place in VB and now Neptune's Fury 2022 right here in Norfolk.

So much love and pride in creating and being part of a farmers market family! Community, knowing your farmers, food producers. Where it all comes from. Getting to know us. It's PURE joy!

So, mark your calendars and we hope you will make it a point to join us from April-September on the 1st & 3rd Fridays from 4-7pm! Plenty of parking and things to eat and see!

Ask me how you can be a 2022 Sponsor email me at Ghentfarmersmarketnfk@gmail.com or if you would like to join us this season! Spots are already filled up for certain types of food, farm, meats and a handful of art.

Buying local and supporting your community is one of the BEST things you can do!

If you would like to inquire about being a vendor, Please send website, any social media pages, photos & if you are part of any other event this season. If you are a food producer, we do NOT operate on cottage law. GFM would like to keep the integrity of a traditional farmers market (Farm and Food) but adding just a handful of art & eco products.
