Friday June 17th The Ghent Farmers Market will hold our First Annual Food Drive, benefiting The Food Bank. We will be joining our friends at The Kings Grant and Old Beach Farmers Markets the same week. They will each benefit The JCOC!
Each day in our community people will go hungry. Right now families are deciding to pay the power bill or buy food for their loved ones. This should NEVER be the case. This year You can make a difference in your community.. Whether you bring 1 can or 20. Nothing is too small of a donation.. Start a drive in your neighborhood, your work place. Then drop it off on Friday June 17th! You may park on the side of Washington and we will have volunteers on site to HELP!
The Food Bank will be onsite to receive your donations and talk about the many ways you can get involved!
Last year The Kings Grant Farmers Market held their 4th Annual Food Drive and collected 1,000 pounds of food in 3 hours! Lets beat the BEACH MARKETS! I know we can do it!

Here is a list of items they need: Canned Fruits & Vegetables Canned Meats Canned Meals Pasta and Pasta Sauce Soup Canned Beans Macaroni and Cheese Peanut Butter & Jelly Cereal Oatmeal/Grits Bottled Water/Juice Boxes - Any NON perishables would be greatly appreciated!! Everyone MUST EAT! - Rain Date Friday July 1st
